The Setting:
You are a member
B.K. Barley’s “Big Banana Circus”, a spectacular traveling
circus featuring animals, rides, sideshow oddities, and amazing
stunts. B.K. Barley is the owner and ringmaster of the circus.
The tents and rides are already to go and all that’s left is to
practice the acts. A traveling circus is like a family. But can
everyone in this family be trusted? Consider everyone a suspect
and ask your questions thoroughly. The murderer will be
implicated in three ways:
A Motive, Weapon, and Opportunity.
Many players will have two of these things but only one of them
will have all three. For the best results concentrate your
questions in these three areas. Everyone must tell the truth
except for the criminal. He or she is the only person who can
lie.
The Crime:
You’ve just finished
a long day of rehearsing at B.K. Barley’s “Big Banana Circus”.
B.K. Barley headed over to the Ferris Wheel for a quick ride
before everyone went home. Suddenly, the lights on the Ferris
Wheel shut off and everything was dark. A shot rang out. When
the power came back on, the only one left at the scene of the
crime was Barley – dead from a gunshot wound. One of you is the
killer. The rest of you need to find out who it was. When you
have found someone with a motive to kill Barley, a gun, and who
was at the Ferris Wheel this night, then you may have found the
true murderer.
