What
is a Murder Mystery Fundraiser?
The Maniacs
offer an atypical approach to hosting
a fundraiser that involves a little more
work than the average fundraiser, but
will provide better than average results.
To kick-off
this unconventional gala you, yes you,
will choose a scenario that tailors to
the quantity of guests and the guests’
needs. Whatever your, or your guests’
hankering may be, the Maniacs will indulge
it. In all mysteries every guest
has a part, so no guest will be left remaining
disenchanted in the corner.
After selecting
the Mystery’s theme and number of patrons
expected to attend, the host will receive
a nifty packet containing: participants’
costume suggestions, the murder mystery
scenario, all rules and regulations, character
descriptions, name tags, envelopes to
house all contestants’ mystery solutions,
and performance awards to be dispensed
per the host’s discretion.
Upon receiving
the packet of goodies, a few tasks remain.
As host, your duties prior to the party
date include: extending an invitation
to all desired, as well as administering
costume suggestions to all who accepted
your invite. Furthermore, we provide the
costume ideas, which offer brief suggestions
on attire for each character involved.
Following each costume suggestions are
concise descriptions regarding the setting
and the party’s scenario, so each guest,
prior to the party, will be briefed on
their part and the party’s overall function.
As for
the day of the party, you will be: relaying
the rules and regulations, the murder
mystery scenarios, and disbursing the
concealed character descriptions.
The concealed character descriptions are
for the designated character’s eyes only.
These descriptions provide further information
about their relationship to the motive,
weapon, or opportunity, as well as covert
information about other characters at
the party. Guests will use this information
to interact with the other characters.
Contestants will talk among one another
to decipher the murderer’s identity, weapon,
opportunity, and motive. After adequate
investigation has occurred, each guest
will write down who they think committed
the crime, and which characters hold the
critical clues to solving the crime.
The host will tally the results and then
announce the winners / super sleuths and
perhaps administer awards/prizes to the
most accurate investigator. As a
result, you will be the proud proprietor
of an untraditional and memorable affair.
Furthermore, keep your worries at bay
there will be a murder mystery specialist
to assist you in any of your planning
or implementing needs.
When you
are ready to book a party you need to
know:
- The date of your party
- Which scenario would you like?
- How male and female guests attending
your party. If you aren't sure, just
order the quantity of guests you hope
will show up.
